These cannabis grades use AA, AAA and AAAA to organize flower by an operator’s assessment of overall presentation and quality. Eon adds AAAAA Reserve as a fourth, more selective tier.
Cannabis grades: the four Eon flower tiers
- AA Value: straightforward flower positioned around value. Appearance, trim or aroma may be less refined than higher store grades.
- AAA Premium: a middle tier intended to balance presentation, aroma, trim and price.
- AAAA Quad: flower assigned to the store’s higher tier after considering several visible and descriptive quality signals.
- AAAAA Reserve: a limited top tier for flower the operator considers notably strong across its complete listing and presentation.
What Eon considers when assigning a grade
A grade can consider the information available for a batch: visual structure, trim, moisture and cure, aroma description, consistency, handling and overall presentation. No single measurement creates the grade, and a high potency number does not automatically make a product a higher grade.
What the grade does not tell you
The labels do not predict exactly how an individual will experience a product. They are not laboratory results, health guidance or industry certification. Grades can also differ between stores because there is no single independent body assigning AA through AAAA labels across the Canadian market.
How to compare two flower listings
- Confirm the current size and price.
- Read the grade as an operator comparison within Eon.
- Compare the listed THC and CBD units without treating potency as the only quality signal.
- Review the strain type, aroma and flavour description.
- Check stock and any batch-specific details displayed on the listing.
Compare grades within the same menu
A store grade is most useful when two current listings are being judged by the same operator and presented with the same fields. It becomes less reliable when a customer compares labels from unrelated stores, because each seller may weigh trim, aroma, structure, cure and value differently. Start with the Eon tier, then read the complete listing that supports it.
Grade can also change between batches of the same named flower. A familiar name does not guarantee that every harvest has identical structure, moisture, aroma or presentation. Use the current product page and current photography rather than relying on an older order or screenshot.
Choose a tier around the order
AA Value can suit an order where price and quantity lead the decision. AAA Premium provides another comparison point when a shopper wants a more refined store assessment without moving to the top tiers. AAAA Quad and AAAAA Reserve are increasingly selective Eon labels, but a higher tier is not automatically the right size, price or aroma profile for every cart.
Compare the selected weight and price per gram after choosing a tier. A smaller amount from one tier and a larger amount from another can have very different totals, so grade and quantity should remain separate decisions.
A quick grade comparison checklist
- Is the label being compared within the current Eon menu?
- Do both listings show the same package size and current stock state?
- Have you read the aroma, strain type, THC and CBD fields separately?
- Does the current photograph support the written presentation details?
- Does the final cart line show the intended grade, size, quantity and price?
