This Canadian cannabis glossary is a plain-language reference for terms used across the Eon menu, Learn guides, checkout and order emails.
Cannabis glossary: A–C
- 510 cartridge
- A prefilled oil cartridge made for a compatible 510-thread battery. Cartridge and battery compatibility should be confirmed before ordering.
- AA / AAA / AAAA
- Informal flower grades used by Eon to organize listings by overall operator assessment. See the complete cannabis grades guide.
- Auto-deposit
- An Interac feature that can deposit a transfer without asking the sender for a security question. The Eon order reference is still required.
- Cannabinoid
- A compound found in cannabis. THC and CBD are the best-known examples. Read Cannabinoids Explained.
- CBD
- Cannabidiol, a non-intoxicating cannabinoid commonly displayed as a percentage or number of milligrams.
- Concentrate
- A cannabis extract sold in formats such as resin, rosin, shatter or badder. See the concentrates guide.
D–H
- Disposable vaporizer
- A vaporizer sold as a combined oil chamber, heating element and battery rather than a separate cartridge.
- Edible
- A food-style cannabis product commonly labelled in milligrams per piece and per package.
- Flower
- Dried cannabis buds commonly sold by weight. The flower sizes guide explains common menu quantities.
- Hybrid
- A familiar lineage category for cannabis with both indica and sativa ancestry. It is one description, not a complete prediction.
I–P
- Indica
- A familiar lineage label traditionally associated with certain plant traits. Read the three-label guide.
- Interac e-Transfer
- Eon’s current payment method. Customers place the order first and then send the exact total using its payment instructions.
- Milligram (mg)
- A unit commonly used for cannabinoid amounts in packaged formats. Always check whether a label refers to one unit or the complete package.
- Pre-roll
- Ground flower prepared in rolling paper and sold as a single item or pack.
Q–Z
- Quad
- A common name for AAAA flower in an informal store grading system.
- Reserve
- Eon’s name for its AAAAA flower tier, reserved for listings assigned above the Quad tier by the operator.
- Sativa
- A familiar lineage label traditionally associated with certain plant traits. Modern products are often extensively cross-bred.
- Terpene
- An aromatic compound that contributes to smell and flavour. See Terpenes Explained.
- THC
- Tetrahydrocannabinol, the primary intoxicating cannabinoid in cannabis. See THC vs CBD.
- Tincture
- A liquid cannabis format commonly labelled in milligrams per millilitre and used with a measured dropper.
- Tracking number
- The Canada Post reference attached after an order enters the shipping workflow. A number may appear before the first carrier scan.
