This Canada Post cannabis delivery guide follows an Eon parcel from label creation to the first scan, network movement, delivery or pickup. Check the Shipping page for current rates, service areas and order handling.
Canada Post cannabis delivery guide: three separate records
An Eon order number identifies the purchase. A Canada Post tracking number identifies the parcel. A delivery-notice number can identify a pickup notice. Keep the labels attached to the correct record rather than using the numbers interchangeably.
Payment verification happens before shipment. An order that is still on hold has not reached the carrier stage, even if the customer has reported the transfer as sent.
From label creation to the first scan
- Eon confirms payment and prepares the order.
- A shipping label and tracking number are created.
- The number is attached to the Eon order and customer notification.
- Canada Post accepts the parcel and records the first physical scan.
- Later scans reflect movement, processing, pickup availability or delivery.
A tracking number can exist before the first physical scan. During that interval, the carrier page may show only that electronic information was submitted. Check again after the normal handoff period rather than placing another order.
Read the latest carrier event
| Event type | Useful interpretation |
|---|---|
| Information submitted | The label record exists; a physical acceptance scan may still be pending. |
| Item accepted or processed | Canada Post has recorded the parcel in its network. |
| In transit | The parcel has a movement or processing event between facilities. |
| Out for delivery | The carrier has assigned the parcel to the local delivery stage. |
| Notice left or available for pickup | Follow the carrier notice and bring the identification it requests. |
| Delivered | Review the recorded location or delivery detail before opening a support case. |
The exact wording can change as the carrier updates its systems. The live Canada Post tracking record is the authority for the event currently attached to the parcel.
Delivery estimates and route changes
An estimate is not a promised arrival time. Weather, network volume, remote routes, weekends, address issues and carrier interruptions can affect movement after dispatch. Eon cannot add a carrier scan or replace the estimate with an invented date.
Address changes are difficult after acceptance. Confirm the recipient, street, unit, city, province and postal code during checkout, before a label exists.
Pickup and delivery notices
When a parcel is redirected to pickup, use the location and timing shown by Canada Post. Bring the notice or tracking information and the identification requested by the carrier. Eon support cannot waive a carrier’s pickup requirements.
Do not share the tracking number publicly. It can reveal delivery events and should stay with the order email, account record and support conversation.
When the parcel appears delayed
- Compare the shipment-email time with the first carrier scan.
- Read the complete event history, not only the headline status.
- Check for a delivery notice or pickup instruction.
- Allow for a stated service interruption or non-business day.
- Contact Eon with the order number, tracking number and latest event when the parcel passes the support window on the Shipping page.
Delivery says complete but the parcel is missing
Check the delivery location, community mailbox, front desk, household parcel area and any notice left by the carrier. In a shared building, follow the building’s normal parcel process. Then contact support with the exact delivery event and timestamp.
